First admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 1970
Admitted and practiced in Melbourne, Australia from 1971 to 1985
Broad experience in commercial, trust, conveyancing and business law with a strong emphasis on franchising law
Founded Rory MacDonald Law in 2000, became MacDonald Pilcher Partnership in 2006
Previously a partner at Cairns Slane and Stewart Germann law firms
Chair of Parnell Business Association (2009, 2010)
Member of Franchise Association of New Zealand Inc (FANZ)
Previous Honorary Solicitor to FANZ
Has delivered a large number of seminars and articles on Franchising within New Zealand
Has attended a number of franchising conferences as a delegate including Australia, Singapore and the USA

First admitted 1990. Has been with the firm since May 2000
Joined Rory in partnership in 2006 and became a consultant in October 2008
Specialises in franchise, intellectual property, company and business law and attends conferences and continuing education regularly here and in Australia
Has written a number of articles and delivered seminars on these areas of interest
Works around family commitments, with 3 young children
Has worked as a management consultant specialising in franchise developments
Has Human Resources management experience
Previous employment with Earl Kent and Wadsworth Norton Law Firms, Manukau City Council and Caltex
